Yes, before you begin reading, this is another rant about Internet Explorer (IE) 6. The experience I have with this browser compels me to write an article about it. The Internet is such a dynamic place that by not having the most up-to-date software you are missing out on the wonders that Web 2.0 can bring and by having one of the most out-of-date browsers is just asking for trouble. Just like others before me, I have worked in helpdesk which means I spent most of my time saying “Is it plugged in?” to customers and staff alike. It was such a relief when I started working as a Web Developer as now I spend most of my time saying “Is your browser Internet Explorer 6?” which is a little more exciting but still very annoying. As a Web Developer, I spend a lot more time maintaining code rather than creating it. Even someone with the best foresight in the world cannot create code which can lead to hassle free maintaining. This usually means I will make a small update to some functionality in
Before I begin, I would just like to say that I appreciate the diversity that we can create within society. I also respect revolutionists who go against the norm and love to question everything, for example vegetarians. This, however, means that I will judge you almost immediately for your decisions to see how strong willed and opinionated you are. Now onto the juicy stuff. Seems to me that these vegetarians think that by not eating meat, then no one will kill any animals for them. This is true of course but at what cost? If we were all vegetarians then no one would want to farm animals. Farmers would then have to farm something that people want. Just think of all the cows and pigs that will never be born and never graze and have a happy long life. This is clearly a supply and demand situation. Consumers want to eat the energy-rich delicious meat of animals, farmers are happy to raise and sell these beautiful animals and animal rights activists are happy at the way they are treated. Ca
I think a person's first Role Playing video Game (RPG) holds a very special place in their heart. These types of games are able to captivate our minds and engross us in a rich visual storyline. This is especially true when we are younger and have all the time in the world. It is easy to dive into the fable of Cloud in Final Fantasy VII as he progresses his way through the many twists and turns that is his adventure. Similarly, I believe Sega have successfully emulated Shining Force on the iPhone allowing me to easily lose myself into its rich world whenever I sit down on the bus. And the story of Shining Force is well worth reviving. For me, the love of RPG's began with the classic Shining Force II. I played this game to death on the Sega Genesis and this recent port of the original Shining Force has brought all the memories vividly back. This time we take on the role of Max, a kid with a sword in one hand and boredom in the other. After an incident involving the King, he gat
